Well, after finishing 'Breaking Dawn' a few days ago, I started to feel that the cast for the 'Twilight' movie that is coming out in December, with few exceptions, by appearance does not match up with my vision of the characters. Hmmmm, that sentence ended up more complicated than intended. The point I am trying to make is that, solely based on appearance, I would have cast the movie differently.
Bella- Danielle Panabaker, but suppose Kristen Stewart will be fine
Edward- Henry Cavill (This was Stephenie Meyer's first choice, and he does look more like how I envisioned Edward as well, especially in this picture: Perfect Edward)
Renee- Lisa Kudrow
Charlie- Glenn Morshower or John C. Reilly
Alice- Fine with who was cast (but agree with Meyer that Rachel Leigh Cook would have been perfect)
Jasper- Jesse Spencer
Rosalie- Maybe Christina Aguilera. Fine with who was cast
Emmett- Dean Caine in the era of 'Lois and Clark'
Esme- Christina Applegate, but fine with who was cast
Carlisle- Fine with who was cast
Jacob- Fine with who was cast
Billy- Graham Greene

Ew. You think Christina Aguilera is the perfect most gorgeous woman?! Yuck. I think the Rosalie they cast is a very pretty girl, but she's a natural brunette and doesn't look as great with the ugly blonde color they have on her. I agree that the Edward that was cast is NOT up to par and would have preferred the kid from Count of Monte Cristo(the guy she originally wanted).
I don't know. Christina Aguilera has got the attitude that I envisioned Rosalie to have. I'm not saying she is the perfect most gorgeous woman in the world, I just think that it is better to have a true blonde playing Rosalie rather than a brunette dyed blonde.
Allie, I'm really bad with actresses & actors, but good news... I might be in Virginia when the movie comes out in December!!! Maybe you & I can go see it together & ditch the kiddos!
I do agree that Edward should have been the dude from count of monte cristo- like jessie said.
Ok, as you can guess if you've read my blog lately, I've put WAY, WAY too much thought into the wrongness of the casting but not enough into how I'd make it right. Because I'm a bit older, I think of older actors that just wouldn't work. But here goes. Perhaps I need to talk to my babysitter more in depth...
The guy who played Anakin Skywalker...Jasper? Possibly Edward if he could be made too look a little more youthful. A close second would be a guy in my ward. No joke.
Rosalie needs to be as beautiful as Angelina Jolie in Gone in 60 Seconds.
Carlisle...Aaron Eckhardt.
Alice is PERFECT.
Bella is fine - although I'd hoped they'd stick in some brown contacts.
Jacob...sigh...in my head he's unlike anyone I've ever seen. Is this too in depth?? I've got issues.
A little more...who was the guy from August Rush? But I have to admit that I like the actors are not well-known.
All I know is that I definitely think the guy they chose for Edward is NOT attractive. I pictured the guy who played Clark Kent in Smallville. And let's be honest, Edward is the most important character...
