Andrew is four!

Andrew turned 4 on December 19th. He was so excited. He's been counting down the days to his birthday for months. Having a birthday so close to Christmas has created a little confusion for him. When he opened his presents from the family in the morning, he first transferred the stack of presents from the coffee table to under the tree. Then he excitedly exclaimed, "Look what Santa brought me!" However, when we explained the gifts were from the family and not Santa, he was equally pleased and enthusiastically thanked us all individually.

His favorite gift was the Leapster L-Max game system that he has been asking for. He's played it non-stop and has already run the batteries down. Good thing I got him a charger for it for Christmas.

Here is a picture of him with his new present. Please pardon his bed-head. He was far too excited to be bothered by such things as grooming...

He had his first ever birthday party with friends. He invited three boys over. They decorated a door hanger with their names and with Dora the Explorer foam stickers. They had pizza and each got a cupcake with a candle to blow out. It was fun.

He hung out with Bracken and Abbie for a while also:

In the evening he had a party with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was fun to see everyone. He received a marshmallow shooter from Grandfather Lee, which Bracken quickly adopted as his weapon of choice. He received bubble bath and a xylophone from Suzanne and Scott, and he received this giant dragon (which he immediately named Scott in honor of his new uncle) from his Grandma Burton:

In case you were not able to tell, the dragon is about the same size as Zachary.

While everyone was here, my dad decided it was a good opportunity to get some shots with the grandkids.
