Christmas Card

Thanks to all who sent us Christmas cards. December seems to be the only month worth making the trip to the mailbox. I promised to post our Christmas card on the blog, so here it is...

MADDIE has enjoyed 2006. Some of her year’s highlights include graduating kindergarten, starting first grade, turning six, visiting Disney World twice, FINALLY having a sister, seeing ‘Phantom’ on Broadway, learning to ride a two-wheeler, being a flower girl in her Aunt Suzanne’s wedding, and losing two baby teeth. Maddie loves art, reading, writing, singing, cooking, and being the center of attention.

ANDREW turns four in December. He was excited to start a two day a week preschool and loves going to his Little Gym class. He is very skilled in the art of mischief. His favorite food is still “Peanut butter, strawberry jelly, and bread.” His two big achievements of the year have been potty training and giving up his beloved binky. He loves to count, sing the ABC’s, play computer games, and spend time with his siblings and cousins.

ZACHARY turned 2 in October. He is a very smiley and happy boy, yet he is EXTREMELY uncooperative when a camera is aiming in his direction. He loves his toy cars and could spend hours pushing them around the coffee table. He loves to be where the action is. He is a rough and tumble guy and has required stitches, dental surgery, and a cast to realign his front teeth from his careless misadventures this year.

MYLIE ELIZABETH BURTON was born July 19, 2006. She was so excited to be born, that she came at 37 weeks and made her debut without Mom pushing and before the obstetrician made it to the room. She is a very easy going and sweet baby. She loves to have ‘little chats’ with any friendly face she sees. Time is flying, and we can’t believe she is five months old! This picture was taken when she was three months old.

BEN is still working for Telelogic and enjoying business travel to places like Ireland and Mexico. In April he completed the Charlottesville Marathon, meeting his goal to complete a marathon in 2006. Ben and Allie celebrated their 7th anniversary on November 23. Yes, that was Thanksgiving Day. What could be more romantic than a turkey dinner with extended family?

ALLIE is loving life as a mother of four. Things are often chaotic, but always fun. In addition to spending over half the year pregnant, Allie has enjoyed freelance writing, and even sold a few articles to the ‘Friend’ magazine. Shuttling the children to various activities, planning family vacations, and helping with homework have also kept Allie busy. HAVE A FABULOUS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
Love, Ben, Allie, and the kids
